Can someone explain to me how sales leads work?

Monday Sep 28, 2009

I signed up with an online company, & they are charging me anywhere form $15. to $19 per lead. They said there is no guarantee that I would get the job, & I get charged even if a customer is just curious & looking for information. Is this legal? I thought a lead was a guarantee. I know lots of salesmen buy lead sheets. Can someone tell me more or is this a scam?? My husband is having a fit because I just got charged $100. & 3 of them were just looking..

Paying per lead can obviously get very costly!

I dont recommend that, but it has worked for some.

I wrote a recent article on this subject, and it explains a little more in detail to answer your question, so I will post the URL in the Source box below.

The article is about:
* How to get targeted leads for your business.
* How to use the leads once you get them.
* and what cost are involved?

Also, I will provide a link to the company I recommed www.DBShack.com

And tell your husband…I think he’s right !
It just shouldn’t cost that much for leads.

Remember, No-matter-what, once you get some leads … its going to take some time and effort on your part to make them work for you.
But they do work……

Hope this helps

How can i get good sales leads?

Monday Sep 21, 2009

You can try out salesleads.com or hook up with a good email marketing campaign company.
Another good way is look for networking events or clubs. Do a search for this in your area. You have to be around people to make connections not sitting around wondering how to just generate sales leads, unless you are an internet business owner. Then you need to employ an internet marketing company. leapfrogonline.com is the top online marketing company, no this is not the toy-maker. Some of their customers include: Google, Discover etc. to name a few. My close friend is an executive there and they do very good work.

As a professional photographer do you keep a Facebook presence? Has it generated leads, sales or work?

.
Really, Myspace? I find Myspace messy, noisy and disorganized. How are you making it work for you?
.
A few of my jeweler friends have had excellent luck using Facebook’s targeted ads for selling their art. Just wondering if it would work for photography too. Thanks to everyone for their answers.

Wouldn’t touch any of the kiddies networking sites with a bargepole to promote my business.
I would be laughed out of peoples offices if I told them to look there for my stuff.
