Definitely the internet.
The NAR put out a study in 2005 saying that the use of the Internet to search for a home has risen from 2% in 1995 to 77% in 2005 and agents with websites has increased 129% over the past 5 years. It also said that In terms of lead generation, only referrals and repeat clients rank above the Internet as the most effective methods of gaining new business.
Unfortunately the real estate industry is a little bit behind in marketing themselves online, so having a website that displays the MLS data with an integrated IDX feed is probably your best bet to beat the competition. Especially since most of the real estate being sold is being done so by the newly established realtors who have mastered online marketing.

It sure does seem that way, doesn't it? I plan to inform my kids that they will not be allowed to chat on a computer or text on a cell phone if they can't do so in complete sentences. Once they are adults and have a mastered spelling and grammar, they can do whatever they want when it comes to "chatting"… and at that point it won't be detrimental. And, no, I don't care if this makes them look "less cool"… my kids education is way more important that the opinion of their minor peers.

1. Personal Unlike an advertisement in a trade publication,
which can be read by anyone, your sales letter arrives at your
prospect’s place of business as a piece of personal
communication from your mind to his. Also, unlike any other
medium, direct mail can be personalized (Dear Mr. Smith) and
customized to each reader (”As an IT manager, you know that . .
..”), showing your prospect that you know about him by name and
understand his business in particular.
2. Cost effective Advertising by its very nature is expensive.
To reach a lot of people, you need to spend a lot of money.
Direct mail, on the other hand, only targets the prospects you
want to reach. Instead of pitching your product to a huge
audience of potential buyers, you aim your sales message only at

dozens of competing ads in a trade newspaper. Your sales message
is also easily forgotten on radio or television unless you

Posted by admin | Under lead generation Monday Nov 10, 2008I am having a problem finding buyers for the purchase leads. They are fresh and new and are real, meaning our Marketing gets the apps filled out by end user.
OK… so here's the long and short of it I have excellent marketing champagne that is generating a killer amount of leads EVERYDAY! The problem is; my associate figured once the leads started to pour in (and they are! Yikes!) then the buyers would just come flocking to our site ready to purchase them… well, needless to say… the flocks not happening! Oops… anyway, just wondering if anyone else out there has been in this type of business before and has any advise… or if there are any brokers/lenders out there who could give me a little inside info on how the heck leads are generated within the industry (anonymously, of course) and if the leads are being purchased from an outside source… who are you buying from? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I just can't get over how many leads we have coming in daily… I'm failing big time not having the buyers for these guys! Help Please!
