Sales Leads Made Easy |

Why are people so afraid to advertise a sales position as that? Lead Generation and Sales Prospecting sounds more like a sales job. But I guess Cold Calling is Sales?

I guess they think that cold-calling would scare most people off. I have been in sales for four years and cold-calling is about 75% of my job. It’s a numbers game. The more times you demonstrate the product, the more sales you make, provided you have the 4 P’s.

I am looking for a lead generation company that is capable of providing a high quality, professional service for a management consulting / accounting firm. I am not interested in call centres staffed by people with one or two years’ experience – this is the ‘blue chip’ end of the market that we are talking about here.

Ideally I need a company that is well versed in the professional services market and / or has knowledge of BPO.

Market scope would essentially be US and Europe.

Suggestions, anyone?

Seems quite a big ask for one company. Maybe some market analysts have recommended reports/companies, or a large company that has partners in such locations. It companies and like tend to use such practitioners & likes of gartner, giga, idc, holway etc could be worth looking at.

Word-of-mouth has always been the best lead-generator. Have everyone you know help you to spread the word about your business..

There are some really great tools online to help people find your website and convert them into customers. Hubspot has a great track record and plenty of good tools to get you started. In my opinion, it’s a better use of your time to create the tools to bring people to you rather than you calling and taking people through a process that can be automated. Cheers.

Hoovers.com or Manta.com are good business resource sites, but you have to pay to get complete reports. Worth it, if the leads pay off though.

I believe it’s like cold calling where you contact people and see if they’re interesting in the products and then someone calls them later to do the actual selling. I was offered a job where they had soft leads which meant a letter had been sent out to prospects and if they sent it back that they were interested then I would have called them to do the final sale.

Hello. Our firm provides lead generation for dozens of companies, and in our experience, purchased lists often contain 30-40% "bad" data.

What we’ve done to work around this is to attempt to secure fairly updated lists online, using published industry directories. Our goal is to find company names and urls first, not worrying about accurate contact info, as in today’s economy, it’s very likely the decision maker has changed. To "backfill" our list with accurate contact info, we actually call and qualify each record we’ve found online. Although somewhat labor intensive, the accuracy of the data pays off quickly, and the end result is a pure list that you own.
