what is the best way to convert prospective leads into sales?

Find the decision-maker and talk to them. you need to be in contact at least 6 times before they buy. Generally, show them how purchasing your product/service will save them time, money, and effort. If you can do that, they will buy.

The trick is showing them how their lives are better and how they benefit.

I believe direct and repetitive contact with the decison-maker will lead to sales. Whatever you are selling, present the benefit that it has to offer the client, not the method. Sales is a numbers game; the more people you contact directly, the more deals you will close. I believe that you have to have enthusiasm and passion about what you are selling because your sincerity will come across and you will have a chance to explain why the client would improve their life or bottom line by buying what you have to offer. If there is a track record or positive history to report, regarding the product or service, that helps to open up the mind of the decision-maker. It helps to understand the prospective buyer and what their needs are.

I was very successful while selling management consulting contracts/services for over l0 years. I attended many seminars given by very successful salespeople and motivational speakers to keep the momentum going. Sales takes a lot of patience and attention to the relationship you develop with the prospective client. We used ACT sales manageer as a software tool to keep track of conversations and necessary follow-up.
